When using an aquarium for hamsters, should they have a background on the back?

Here in a week I am getting two new hamsters. They are dwarf hamsters and I am using an aquarium so they cannot escape. I wanted to know if they would be more comfortable with a background.

They would be more comfortable with lots of hiding spots. Aquariums are not the best, as they do not produce proper air flow which can lead to respiratory problems if not kept clean enough.
It might make them feel like they are in a bigger cage then they really are, so I would. =]
it is really up to you, a back round mich make their cage feel closed in more, which they like. It will add a sense of security.
It doesn’t matter because they might feel at home if it is the same kind of habitat so it is up to you my fish and baby turtles have backgrounds in their aquarium and they seem to like it.
