I'm looking for some green, leafy plants that can offer good background coverage but won't grow too tall (I've only got a five gallon tank.) Anything you would recommend that's easy to care for and can thrive in lower light?

Hi, I am setting up a 75 gallon bow front aquarium with a DIY background. I would like to include some type of crab in the tank. I have not chosen the type of fish I will stock in the aquarium yet, and was wondering is there is any type of freshwater crab that would co-exist with the fish I might put in the aquarium. Any suggestions on the type of crab and the type of fish I should stock the aquarium with?

I would like two kinds of plants for my tank. i'm a beginner so i would like plants that are easy to take care of and that my fish will not eat.

I want the first plant to be something short and grass like that I can put all over the gravel floor of my tank. However, I don't want it so thick that it covers up all the sea shells i have.

The other plant I want for a background, just so you cannot see what is behind my tank.I want it to be at least 12 inches tall and not very bushy.

I would like about 3 suggestions for each plant type.

Thanks

I tried the pet shop but they had nothing I liked. I want the backdrop to be something not necessarily to do with nature, i.e something perhaps abstract or colourful. My aquarium has light beige sand, two large pieces of pinkish brownish nice looking granite, and bright green live plants.

So first, which one of these ideas do you think sounds best? Why?

1. Pure crimson red
2. Black
3. Bright Orange
4. Black with neon orange (I have a great luminous orange paper) patterns, like orange diamond shapes or clubs&spades

Do you have any similar ideas? Have you maybe seen a wallapaper at b&q recently that might look good?

Must be bright and abstract, thanks!
